NOTE:

Ontario law requires all horseback riders under 18 years old to wear an approved riding helmet which the ranch can provide if necessary.

For your safety, Lost Cowboy Ranch also requires that you wear boots with a 1" to 3" heel and long, heavy cotton or denim pants. (no jogging pants)

Clothing should be appropriate for the outdoors and/or wilderness.

Refrain from using perfumes & colognes and use bug repellant so you don't get pestered.

WAIVER - ASSUMPTION OF RISK - AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

* WARNING * - BY SIGNING THIS, YOU GIVE UP THE RIGHT TO SUE!

TO: SUSAN E.KARKKAINEN OPERATING AS "LOST COWBOY RANCH", IT'S EMPLOYEES, ASSISTANTS, PARTNERS AND LANDLORDS (HEREINAFTER CALLED 'THE RANCH')

In consideration of 'THE RANCH' accepting my application, on behalf of myself and/or any minor child on whose behalf I sign this agreement, for participation on a horse, or horse related activity, or any other activity organized by 'THE RANCH', I agree to this Release of Claims, Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement (collectively 'this Agreement').

I declare that in participating or in permitting the participation of any minor child in respect of whom I sign 'this Agreement', in any activity or service operated or organized by 'THE RANCH', I waive any claims I may have against 'THE RANCH' and release 'THE RANCH' for any or all liability for death, injury, property damage or loss sustained by me as a result of my or the minor child's participation in such activity, due to any cause whatsoever including, without limitation, negligence on the part of 'THE RANCH'.

I further agree to indemnify 'THE RANCH' against any liability resulting from such participation by any minor child in respect of whom I sign 'this Agreement', or any family member or spectator accompanying me.

I acknowledge that horse related activities involve risks and dangers associated with the use of horses which, regardless of their training and past behavior, may act or react unpredictably at times, based on their instinct or fright.

I am aware that trail rides may involve additional risks and dangers, some of which include weather, which can be extreme and can change rapidly without warning; remote locations in natural and mountainous terrain, where natural hazards abound and where participants may become lost or separated from their guide, where rescue and communication can be difficult and where medical treatment may be unavailable.

I fully understand the risks and dangers involved in these activities and ACCEPT SAME ENTIRELY AT MY OWN RISK.

The terms hereof shall be binding upon me, my heirs and personal representatives and upon any minor child in respect of whom I sign 'this Agreement'.

'This Agreement' remains effective as of this date and for any future or subsequent 'THE RANCH' activities in which I may participate.

HARD HAT WAIVER: I, the undersigned, state that I am at least 18 years old and recognize the dangers inherent with horseback riding. I have been informed that wearing a protective riding helmet may help prevent head injury, brain injury or permanent brain damage in the event of an accident and choose not to wear one.
